Don Valley (Toronto, Ontario)
In the spring of 2011, I was posted to Toronto. Thanks to IR, we kept the house in Windsor and I got a condo in Toronto to work out of.
By poking around some of the local forums, I was pointed at the Don Valley trails to ride on.
These trails have been cut into the banks of the Don Valley, right in the heart of Metro Toronto - and they are real lungbusters. Not only do they have a ton of climbing, they are easily the most technical trails I have ever encountered. Even the Bruce MTB Adventure Park was easier than some of these trails. There are entire sections of the Don Valley that are quite simply beyond my ability.
Learning these trails, though, has been great for improving my ability, confidence, and strength, and I highly recommend visiting them.
While they are very well maintained, they aren't very well documented....
